ABSTRACT

The main objective of  the study is to assess the contribution of the Quality Assurance visit on teaching and learning process in Temeke District. Specific objectives include to investigate the relationship(academically)between curriculum visit and teaching and learning, to examine the effect of lesson plans visit on teaching and learning, to analyze the influence of quality of leadership and management of the school on teaching and learning process and to assess the contribution of external supervisors reports on teaching and learning in Primary schools in Temeke District.The study adopted a descriptive research design. The study sample comprises 315 Pupils, 9 Teachers, 1 Head teacher, 2 Quality Assurance Officers and 1 District Education Officer(D.E.O) The tools used for this study were questionnaire, interview and documentary review. The data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative techniques, descriptive statistics were used to analyzed quantitative data and qualitative data analyzed by being organized into similar themes and presented in narrative form according to the objectives. The results from data analysis presented in frequency tables and explanations.
